How much data can a QR code hold?
A QR code can hold up to 2,953 bytes of binary data, 4,296 alphanumeric characters, or 1,817 Kanji characters. Longer content creates denser QR codes that are harder to scan. For URLs, keep them under 100 characters for best scannability.
Do QR codes expire?
No. QR codes that encode direct content (like a URL or text) never expire. They are static images. However, if the QR code links to a URL, it stops working if that URL goes offline.
